Programs
All of our programs at St. Paul Youth Services are designed to intervene with youth when we see the first signs that they are heading for trouble…a first-time arrest, getting suspended from school, a family crisis, delinquency patterns emerging at a very early age.
An analogy would be that we are to delinquency prevention what sprinkler systems are to fire prevention. When the first signs of fire emerge, we want to be on the spot to put it out before the blaze gets going.
Our approach to working with youth relies on the basics that inspire change in most human beings…relationships. We hold youth accountable for their behavior, listen to what is leading them to make the choices they do, and help them learn the skills to improve those choices.
